Bienheureux, four years the winner's senior, is back on a decent mark again, just 1lb higher than when last winning, and he came out best of the rest. He has yet to win at this trip, but seemed to get it well enough.
BEAT SEVEN 4TH IN A GROUP ONE AT ASCOT
27th September 2008
Beat Seven confirmed Gay's belief on Saturday 27th September, that she is very special.
As 66/1 shot clearly she looked as if she may have been out of her depth on paper to some, but not to Gay and the connections.
Beat Seven, under an excellent ride by Richard Hughes came 4th in the prestigious Meon Valley Stud Fillies race - which hold Group 1 status.
The connections were clearly delighted. They now have the 1000 Guineas and possibly The Oaks in their sights.
A wonderful day and an excellent result for the yard.
