DIANE'S CHOICE WINS AT LINGFIELD AT 8/1!!

With Gay only back from a business trip to Dubai this morning landing at Gatwick she travelled straight to Lingfield to watch Diane's Choice win under a positive ride from the in-form David Probert. Her jet lag soon disappeared as she shouted a horse she part owns home.

Diane's Choice, assuming she is fit and well may well be running again on Thursday at Kempton under a penalty.

Well done to all connections!

============================
DIANE´S CHOICE, dropped back to 6f for the first time since winning at Kempton last month, was always well placed and made the most of an uninterrupted trip. She is likely to be turned out under a penalty at Kempton on Thursday.

Chased leaders, closed over 2f out, driven to lead inside final furlong, stayed on well (tchd 8-1)

KELLEWAY JOINS FORCES WITH AUSSIE BREAST CANCER CHARITY

NEW STAR RACING CLUB

By David Milnes

Gay Kelleway is to become the first overseas trainer for Newstar Racing, a unique not-for-profit Australian-based club that donates it's prize money to former Test cricketer Glenn McGrath's breast cancer charity.

Newstar Racing, which has more than 1000 members, has proved an instant hit in Australia and has horses with top trainers including Gai Waterhouse, David Hayes and Paul Perry. The club was established a year ago by Australian racing personality Bryan Martin who decided to use the sport as an avenue to fight breast cancer after seeing his mother and grandmother battle the disease.

Now Martin is hoping to attract ex pat Australians who reside in Britain by taking Newstar Racing overseas and is to link up with Newmarket-based Kelleway.

To seal the association, one of Kelleway's owners, Andrew Christou, has agreed to lease to the club for a year a two year old colt - who has been named Newstar McGrath.

By Phoenix Reach, Newstar Mcgrath is progressing nicely and his trainer is hoping the colt could give - not for the first time - the Aussies something to shout about at Royal Ascot in June.

Kelleway said "I met Bryan Martin when I was out in Australia for the tennis this winter and he told me about the success of the Newstar Racing Club, and how he had thought about going global with it."

"I have spent time with Gai Waterhouse in the past and she was very enthusiastic about it."

She added: "It's a bit like the Elite Racing Club, and, as there are some estimated 200,000 Aussies in London alone, we hope it will attract some interest.

"It's very kind of Andrew Christou to lease the two-year old, who we are hoping will give us lots of fun as well as earning some prize-money for a very worthwhile cause."

The McGrath Foundation was co-founded in 2002 by McGrath and his wife Jane and her initial recovery from breast cancer. She died from the disease in 2008.

The foundation is dedicated to raising money to fund breastcare nurses in Australia and has raised more than AUS$12 million (about £6.8m)

NEW STAR RACING CLUB

During Gay's time in Australia in January she met
with BRYAN MARTIN who set up the NEW STAR RACING CLUB. It was formed in February 2009 and currently has over 1000 members. They have 6 horses in training with some of Australia's top trainers. The New Star Racing Club has been very sucessful with all winnings going to The Mcgrath Foundation which was set up in memory of the Austrailan fast bowler Glen Mcgrath's wife Jane who sadly died of breast cancer.

Gay spent time with Bryan discussing the Australian success of the club which led to them possibly having a British based racehorse, running in the NEW STAR RACING colours. Gay feels this would be a great honour.

Bryan will launch the Club's involvement with a British based racehorse trainer with the Australian Press to hopefully coincide with something here in the UK in the British Racing Press.

Full details about The New Star Racing Club and the horse chosen to represent the Club to be released soon.

Gay has now returned from her working vacation in Australia and Dubai.

Luke Morris has been to ride out a couple of Gay's more forward 2yo's.

CAPTAIN RIO is working particulary well and will be aimed at the first 2yo race of the 2010 flat season - The Brocklesby to be held in March.

Please note there are still two quarter shares available in this very eye catching colt.

The LUCKY STORY filly will be going to Lingfield for a racecourse gallop. Assuming all goes to plan she will be entered for a 5 furlong fillies race on the 29th March which is part of the Racing Post bonus scheme race. This filly also has one share remaining.

For anyone interested in purchasing shares in either of these 2yo's please contact either Gay or her racing manager, Rob at any time for further details.

Please note that there are other horses available for sale that are working well and ready to run. With some attractive prices currently available now may be the right time to call Gay Kelleway Racing to see if they have the right horse to suit you and your budget.

There is no greater feeling than leading your own horse back in the Winner's Enclosure. With the flat season now just around the corner - and hopefully the better weather, why not make that call and see if Gay has the right horse for you!

Another good run by Hawanna at Kempton this evening under Steve Drowne finishing a respectable 4th in a hot race.

Lots of possibilities with this very versatile and talented horse both on the all weather and on the turf. Gay is considering entering him for the Lincoln.

There are still shares available. If you are interested, please contact Gay Kelleway
